Weekend Recap & A Bump-date

Fall has definitely arrived in Nashville - it's downright cold outside this Monday morning - not that I'm complaining since I'm very happy that I no longer start sweating the instant I get out of bed in the morning!  I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend.  Friday night we caught up on our dvr until the husband had to go into work.

Saturday I ran errands, watched the heartbreaking UT/LSU game (I'm not bitter at all about the fact that while, yes, we had 13 men on the field during that last play that LSU also had 12 men on the field and at least 2 players who were moving before the snap and, therefore, should have gotten a penalty as well which would have offset ours {insert TONS of sarcasm and a very unhappy face here}, but whatever), and then went to dinner at Urban Flats for a friend's 30th birthday.  Btw, I've been here tons of times, but had never ordered dessert before Saturday - do yourself a favor, please, no matter what, always save room for the s'mores flatbread - it's my new obsession!  It's a piece of wheat flatbread smothered in melted chocolate and toasted marshmallows sprinkled with graham cracker crumbs and is served warm.  It's pure heaven I tell ya!

Sunday, we had a birthday lunch with the husband's family and then spent the afternoon napping on the couch and cleaning the house.  I also have pretty much finished Abby's nursery, so as soon as her artwork is completed (my fabulous cousin-in-law is painting 4 canvases to match the bedding) I will post final pictures.  I'm so happy to have this done - especially, since our first baby shower is this weekend (yay, I'm so excited!!!) and I know we will be blessed with so much stuff for her!

Below's the latest bump-date.

How far along:  31 weeks

Stretch marks/belly button:  Still none, thankfully, and the belly button's still pretty flat (however, I have to admit that one side of it looks like it's trying to pop out).

Sleep:  Still no change here - I get up at least once a night to pee and it takes FOREVER to get comfortable now so falling back to sleep takes longer than it should.  Therefore, I just feel exhausted all the time now.

Best moment of the week:  Finally finishing Abby's room - it only took me a month longer than I had planned!

What I'm looking forward to:  My first baby shower on Saturday and our maternity pictures on Sunday! This is going to be such a fun weekend!

Symptoms:  I'm still noticing the Braxton Hicks contractions every once in a while, fatigue, loss of intelligence, and I'm afraid I may become the dreaded "unwed" mother-to-be soon because my rings are beginning to get pretty tight.  Oh yeah, and I can "find" Abby now when I press on my belly.  Funny story - I bought our niece, Maddie, a Halloween present and was signing the card yesterday.  I intended for it to say it was from the husband, myself, and Abby.  Instead, I signed it as being from the husband, myself, and Maddie.  Yes, apparently our niece was giving herself a present!  The husband just looked at me and (in the most joking/loving voice ever) said, "  Abby needs to hurry up and get here because she's making you dumb!"  Yes, dear, she sure is! :)

Please ignore my unmanicured nails (that's on my to-do list this week), but
notice the bulge right above my engagement ring - so sad.

Have a great Monday!
