Top 2 Tuesday

Well, yesterday did in fact get better as the day went on for me...I took my car in and, thankfully, they were able to patch my tire so I didn't have to buy new ones - one small victory.  Unfortunately, not so much for the husband - he woke up at 3 this morning with a kidney stone.  Poor guy!  He used to get them pretty frequently (like he's probably had 25-30 of these in his 30 years of life), but he hasn't had one in about a year or so and his urologist told him the last time he went in that his body wasn't producing any more stones - apparently, it is now.  So he's currently playing the waiting game and if he hasn't passed it on his own by Friday, they'll go in and remove it Monday.  I'm hoping he passes it on his own because even as painful as that can be, it's much better than the alternative.  He's had both types of surgery before and neither of them are fun at all.  Not to mention the fact that we're supposed to be flying to Raleigh this weekend for my 10 year high school reunion and to visit my family and I really don't want him to be completely miserable/drugged up all weekend (for his sake, not mine just for the record).  So, please think happy thoughts for him!

Now on to Top 2 Tuesday over at Taylor's.  This week's topic is Top 2 Things You Want to Accomplish by the End of the Year.  Since I can't really diet or go on a hardcore workout routine, mine are pretty simple in the grand scheme of things, but they are definitely things I want/need to get done before year end.
1.  Finish the dreaded master bedroom curtains.  I swear if it kills me, there will be 4 matching panels in our bedroom before 12/31/2010.

2.  Clean out/organize our attic and garage.  I seriously need to take pictures of both of these places to embarrass myself enough that I might actually do this.  The garage isn't nearly as bad as the attic, but it definitely needs to be cleaned out before Abby gets here because there's not a lot of room to get a car seat in and out of the car currently without pulling outside.  The attic, however, is horrendous - really, it could be on hoarders!  There is junk EVERYWHERE because it seems that anything that doesn't have a "home" somewhere in our house just gets thrown up there.  The only problem with this is that the husband will probably have to help with this project and it will probably be pretty difficult to get him to agree to do this - remember how hard it was for me to get him to clean out Abby's closet???  I'm still hopeful on both of these projects for the time being.

What do you want to accomplish during 2010?  Head over to The Undomestic Momma and tell us.

I'll be thinking of your husband. John Paul has problems with kidney stones and is having another lithotripsy done this month. I know how awful it is! You're in my thoughts!

Congrats on 3rd trimester! So jealous!!
