A Sunday of Firsts

It's another cold/yucky morning in Nashville.  One that made it very hard to get out of bed and come into work - I would have much rather stayed at home in my pj's and cuddled up with this sweet girl!

Anyways, we had a pretty good weekend.  Friday night and Saturday were pretty uneventful if you leave out the part where a 70 year old man pushed a car door closed on me so he could see my daughter but that's a whole other post in itself.  Abby and I spent Friday night catching up from all the missed time together during the week while mommy was working and Saturday we mostly did stuff around the house and ran a few errands.  But Sunday had lots of firsts.

We had suite tickets to the Predator's game through work so we decided it would be a great opportunity to take Abby to her first sporting event/hockey game.  But before the game, we met some friends at Jack's BBQ.  I had heard great things about this place, but had never been.  It was yummy.  If you're in Nashville and like BBQ you should try it.  And for sure get the mac & cheese!

After lunch, we headed to Abby's first hockey game.  I was a little nervous about how she was going to do, but she did wonderfully.  She got a little overwhelmed at times and would fuss for a few minutes, but she quickly got over it and went back to her normal happy self.  She was wide-eyed almost the entire time we were there and just looked around and took everything in.  It was super loud and I think if we take her back as a baby we'll definitely invest in some earplugs! :)

And during the game, there was one other first!  I got to have my first ever blogger meet up with LG and Peebs!  We found out a few days ago that we were both going to be at the game so we decided it was a great time to meet face-to-face.  And I'm so glad we did - she's just as sweet in person and Peebs is just so darn cute that I could squeeze him to death!  It's amazing the relationships that develop because of this crazy little hobby of ours!  I love it!

And after the game we went home and Abby watched her first red-carpet show.  We critiqued everyone's clothing together! :)  Happy Tuesday, everyone!
