Membranes have been stripped (at about 9am this morning) and lots of walking has been done since then (we walked around 2 different malls twice each today and a Target). The stripping definitely wasn't a pleasant experience by any means, but I honestly expected it to be a lot more painful than it was. It was super fast (literally about 15 seconds at the most) and just felt like a ton of pressure and extreme abdominal cramping all at once. My doctor was confident that it would work, so we'll see. Everything we've read says it usually takes about 12 hours for anything substantial to happen so now we're just in a waiting pattern. I have had a few contractions in the last hour or so, but they aren't anywhere near regular yet. However, in the off chance that it doesn't work we've gone ahead and set an
eviction induction date of next Wednesday, 12.8.10. So no matter what we will have a baby sometime in the next 6 days. Yay!
I'm going to attempt to get a little nap in just in the off chance (I'm still not letting myself get my hopes up since we were all pretty confident she was going to arrive the week of Thanksgiving and we all see how well that worked out for me) that it does work and I go into labor during the middle of the night. I'll update as I can. Happy Thursday, everyone!

So excited for you! ..and glad to hear it wasn't too painful. They talked about stripping mine but I heard it was so painful and was thankful when they decided it wasn't necessary! You are smart to take a nap. Get as much rest as you can now! Yay for you guys!!!
